New Updated Privacy Policies – Now Ready to Read

At the 2024 Assembly in Athens, an emergency decision was made to remove the old General Data Protection Regulation policy from the Policy Manual. At that time, it was agreed that the Board would create a small working group to review and update the Region’s privacy and data protection documents.

We are happy to share that this work is now finished.

The working group has completed the update of our General Data Protection Regulation policies. We are very grateful to the five members who gave their time, care, and service to this important work.

Why These Policies Are Important

These policies explain how we protect personal information, such as names, email addresses, and contact details.

They help us to:

  • Treat personal information with care and respect
  • Keep members and trusted servants safe
  • Follow data protection laws
  • Serve with honesty, trust, and responsibility

It is important that all trusted servants read these documents. Reading them helps everyone understand their responsibilities and feel confident in their service roles.

The Four Updated Documents

Please take time to read the following documents:

You do not need to read everything at once. It is okay to read slowly and come back later.

Thank You

Thank you for your service and your willingness to stay informed.

By taking time to read these policies, we help protect one another and support our shared work of recovery.
