Living Step Three Daily: Trusting in the Process

I’ve been taught to really try using Step Three—i.e., trust in the power of prayer and meditation together.  As the instructions on page 85 say, better people than we are using it all the time—it works if we have the proper attitude and work at it… i.e., develop it. 🙂                                                                                Trust in this daily Step Three process and do a few simple things every day. Step Ten is desirable throughout the day.

A morning Step Eleven practice supports my reliance on The Grace of my personal Higher Power to build this active faith and Trust in His love, His timing, and-most of all-His  protection  and care.

Running on self because I mistake detachment for non-attachment is arrogant. Instead of turning it over  and saying I will leave it in God’s hands after trying once – having just made conscious contact with God – it is improbable that we will know His Will.

I never saw that as meaning,  every morning I should simply recite a rote pray and consider the plans and ask God to take my will and my life and guide me and place in me the willingness to KEEP seeking the best understanding of HIS will for me all through out the day …..So, before I act, I practice restraint by pen and tongue, filter and choose love over fear.

This requires a mixture of ego deflation—so I pause.  Stop.

I use breathwork, along with prayer—moving my breath up and down my spine or in and out of my Heart as I say each line of the Prayer.

This always harmonizes my body and mind.

It’s my way of accepting my neurodiversity and changing my attitude about my hyperactive, mentally inattentive mind.

I call it my little bouquet of Mental Quirks:)

So summary, This is  HOW I live in step Three:

Ι pray

I calm myself through  Self Soothing (regulation) and                                                                 – —

Talk to God my sponsor and my fellows
