I can bring the following business, professional or other experience, and skill to the board:

I hold a university degree in Languages and Literature (English and Spanish), along with two Master’s degrees: one in Communication, specialising in communication barriers, and another in Counseling. I also completed studies in Mindset Coaching and earned my professional certification as a Life Coach in 2022. Italian is my native language, and I am fluent in English and Spanish, with basic proficiency in French. I also know computer science, IT tools, and social media strategy. Throughout my career, I have developed strong organisational, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. I have experience in problem-solving, conflict management, and the development and implementation of standardised policies and procedures. I am recognised for my ability to listen, build meaningful relationships, and work collaboratively in diverse environments. Currently, I work part-time in my family’s real estate business while continuing my professional development in Life Coaching. I am passionate, goal-oriented, and committed to approaching every responsibility with focus, enthusiasm, and integrity

I would like to be a trustee for the following reasons:

Brief account of my OA recovery story – physical, emotional, and spiritual: page 3 When I chose to run for a seat on the Board of Trustees, I didn’t know exactly what the role would require. Still, I felt called to serve. I discussed the decision with my sponsor, experienced OA members, and current and former Trustees. Although I received valuable guidance, I still wondered whether I was ready. In the end, I trusted my Higher Power and sought election. After five years of service, I can truly say it has been both exciting and deeply rewarding. I have served with energy, serenity, and a sincere desire to contribute to OA. The experience has strengthened my recovery and helped me grow personally and spiritually. Recovery has taught me that I am enough, that my talents continue to grow, and that the more I give, the more I receive—especially gratitude: for the privilege of serving, for spiritual growth, and for the opportunity to bring hope to others. Someone once told me that being a Trustee is only about service and not about carrying the message. I respectfully disagree. For me, service and carrying the message are inseparable. Every act of service is an opportunity to share hope, both within OA and beyond. I am deeply grateful for the privilege of serving.

Brief account of my OA recovery story – physical, emotional, and spiritual

When I first joined Overeaters Anonymous (OA), my goal was simply to lose weight—and I did. But OA gave me far more than physical recovery: it opened the door to a new way of living and helped me discover who I truly am. After about a year of attending meetings and using the Recovery Tools, I achieved abstinence from compulsive eating and lost twenty kilograms. During menopause, although I regained five kilos, I remained abstinent and continued working my Program. With the support of nutritionists, I developed a balanced food plan that meets my health needs, maintains a healthy body weight, and respects both my body and my well-being. Recovery has also transformed how I see myself. I have learned to accept my body with kindness, work honestly with sponsors through the Twelve Steps, and build healthier relationships based on love, empathy, and respect. Although I have not yet experienced a truly healthy romantic relationship, I trust my Higher Power’s timing and guidance. Gratitude, prayer, meditation, and daily reflection are now essential parts of my life. Where anxiety once guided my decisions, I now place my trust in my Higher Power, practising patience, acceptance, and spiritual growth through the Program. Today, I embrace life with gratitude, courage, and hope. Recovery has reconnected me with myself and with the world around me, giving me a sense of peace and vitality that I never thought possible.
