During the period from late November 2025 until I stepped down in mid-January, the following work was completed before formally handing over to the newly appointed Digital Committee Chair and Committee:
- Improvements were made to help the Region 9 website appear more easily in online searches. Members have since reported that they can now find the website more easily.
- A conscious effort was made to distribute responsibilities more evenly across the committee, reducing reliance on only a small number of individuals.
- Specific service roles were clarified and supported, including the Assembly Coordinator and the Moose/Web Chat Coordinator.
- Training and guidance were provided to trusted servants to help them carry out these roles confidently.
- The committee welcomed additional members, and all service roles within the Digital Committee are now filled.
At the time of stepping down, the structure was stable, responsibilities were clearly shared, and the committee was well-positioned to continue its work under the new Digital Chair.
I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve as the first Digital Officer on the Region 9 Board. The experience has been both enriching and challenging, giving me opportunities to explore my edges.
I have met many wonderful people, and I continue to stay in regular contact with them. That connection means a great deal to me.
I also appreciate the support and understanding shown by my fellow Board members and the Digital Committee when I decided to step down. It was important for me to prioritise my mental wellbeing and attend to family responsibilities.
I wish the interim Digital Officer all the best with a safe knowledge that they will lead this committee well in serving OA Region 9, and ultimately to compulsive overeaters who still suffers.
