The Assembly will be held on Sunday 17th of May 2026 from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm UK time

Names, acronyms, and short forms have been removed or edited for consistency with OA Policy

I was appointed to the role of Digital Officer in early February following the previous officer stepping down.

I am grateful for the Board’s trust and belief in me, and I hope to serve the Region well in this capacity.

While I very much enjoy digital service, the absence of the previous officer has been personally significant. Her experience, steadiness, and partnership are greatly missed, and at times I have felt a little adrift without her presence. I remain deeply appreciative of the foundation she helped build and the example she set in service.

As I write this report on 24 February, I have only been in the role for a couple of weeks. It is therefore too early to report on any major changes or strategic developments. However, during this initial period I have focused on stabilising and reviewing key areas.

I have completed an audit of the Region’s email accounts and distribution lists. As part of this review, outdated addresses have been removed, some lists have been merged where appropriate, and new addresses have been created where service needs required them.

I have also taken the next steps in progressing the development of our new Region slogan and logo. I hope to provide a verbal update on this work at the Assembly.

In addition, I have begun training new members of the Digital Committee and will continue to provide ongoing training and support as required. Supporting members to grow in confidence and skill remains a priority for me.

I have also started the process of developing a new funding approval form for the Region. This will help streamline requests and improve clarity around expenditure. I expect this to be ready shortly.

If you need anything from me, please do not hesitate to get in touch at digital@oaregion9.org.

With gratitude,

Sharlotte

Interim Digital Officer
