Translation & Interpretation Committee Report

The Assembly will be held on Sunday 17th of May 2026 from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm UK time

The committee is currently working on finalizing the translation of the Welcome Letter into the primary languages of Region 9. Additionally, we have completed a review of the glossary required for live interpretation during Region 9 meetings.

We are also launching an outreach initiative to Service Bodies and Intergroups, asking them to identify their literature translation needs. Our goal is to gather information regarding the specific challenges these service bodies face when translating literature.

Lastly, we are planning a workshop on translations, though we are currently in the brainstorming stage for this project.

We have also initiated discussions within the committee regarding the creation of a plain-language manual. This guide for Region 9 will outline where to find translation information, whom to contact for assistance, and how the entire translation process works—from the initial decision to the final printing of the literature.
