As Region 9 Vice Chair, it remains my privilege to be entrusted to support our Chair, the Board and other Trusted Servants in service to our incredible Region, working closely with all our Trusted Servants to the best of my ability. I continue to work on the tasks that I specifically committed to, in relation to contributing to policy updates and to the active outreach in our region in various ways. I have the pleasure to share the work of our exceptional, diverse and inspiring region during my meetings and the unique part that we each play, with a particular focus on amplifying the responsibility we each hold to keep our Region thriving and meeting the still suffering compulsive eater. I created and delivered a workshop on this subject, exploring how we (can) each do our part to keep our fellowship healthy and viable for the still suffering compulsive eater.
As Region 9 Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) Trustee and Banker, I make payments in a timely manner, ensuring we are compliant auditing wise, working closely with our Region 9 Treasurer. We successfully submitted the 2024-2025 report to the Charities Commission and have commenced reporting for the 2025-2026 year.
I remain committed in supporting the work of our Sponsorship Coordinators and proactively give to the work of the Active Outreach Committee and other committee chairs as needed. I also am grateful to contribute within the Unity with Diversity Committee for World Service, writing and developing an upcoming workshop with my sub-committee Making Overeaters Anonymous More Accessible. It remains a joy and honour to be active in each of these ways, and I am deeply humbled by this. Through service, I have seen my connection to my Higher Power deepen and my recovery strengthened. It has amplified my gifts my recovery reconnected me to, and has often reminded me that together we can (do anything we could never do alone). It perpetually reminds me of the reality that I can do anything I set my mind to (and that if I get stuck, I have humans in my world who want to see me succeed and will help me).
We are working closely with the amazing Polish National Service Body in advance of our Annual Assembly; I remain ever grateful to all of our trusted servants who make our meeting together (either in the zoom space or physical one) possible and as accessible as we can.
With the help of my Higher Power and my fellows, I look forward to continuing to be of use; I am forever inspired by my fellows and remain humbled by your confidence and support of me as I journey alongside you. Together we really can.
Thank you for allowing me to be a part of our amazing Region in this way; I hope to always act in the spirit I was gratefully elected.
With love in fellowship,
Natasha P
