Nuts and Bolts

Chair Report

The committee was formed at the Region 9 Assembly last year 2023 and I was elected as Chair. This committee is valid for two years. The function of this Committee is regulating the management of Region 9.

The Nuts and Bolts Committee had to help the Coordinators of Region 9, so the main important topics of administrative procedures of Region 9.

In 2023 the main purposes of the committee were:

• to review our bylaws, policies and procedures and also to combine some parts of our bylaws with the bylaws of our CIO
• To be helpful with website technology.

This year we have:

•  reviewed some parts of the bylaws and policies and procedures
• proposed motions to submit to the next Assembly, which if adopted will be submitted to the next WSBC in 2025.
• After the uploading of the new website, the Committee controlled if something was wrong and there were made some corrections.
• Then it was decided to change the platform Constant Contact (an email marketing automation platform) and it was adopted to try Moosend (cheaper than the previous one).

The goals have been achieved

This year’s purpose is:

• to continue if needed, to revise, bylaws, policies and procedures, after next WSBC.
• Offer support and help to the service bodies of the countries within Region 9 to update their own bylaws.
• Help Coordinators of Region 9 in their needs.
