INFORMATION FOR IN PERSON ATTENDANCE

Location / Accommodation:

The events will be held in Greece, a country renowned for its rich history, stunning landscapes, and renowned hospitality. Specifically, the event will take place in Glyfada, a beautiful suburb of Athens. Our venue, The Oasis Hotel-Apartments, offers a serene atmosphere just a short distance from the sparkling sea, providing the perfect setting for reflection, fellowship, and rejuvenation. We are delighted to offer comfortable accommodation options at The Oasis Hotel-Apartments:

Single Room:

Bed and Breakfast: €80 per night
Bed, Breakfast, and 1 meal: €90 per night
Bed, Breakfast, and 2 meals: €100 per night

Double or Twin Room (total price for 2 persons):

Bed and Breakfast: €100 per night
Bed, Breakfast, and 1 meal: €120 per night
Bed, Breakfast, and 2 meals: €140 per night

Triple Room (total price for 3 persons):

Bed and Breakfast: €108 per night
Bed, Breakfast, and 1 meal: €138 per night
Bed, Breakfast, and 2 meals: €168 per night

Please note:

The above prices do not include the Environmental Fee, which is €7.00 per day per room until 31st October and €3.00 per day per room from 1st November onwards.
Cancelation Policy: Before 10 September 2024 Fees equal to one overnight.

After 10 September 2024 Fees equal to all accommodation costs.

If you wish to come a few days earlier or leave a few days later, the prices will remain the same.
These are simple hotel rooms with no amenities to cook or prepare food in the rooms. The Hotel is located in a very busy suburb of Athens. There are plenty of shops and supermarkets nearby and also plenty of restaurants.

Hotel Reservations:

Reservations will be made directly to the Hotel.

Transportation from the Airport to the Hotel:

By public bus (x96):

The Express Bus X96 departs right outside the arrival level of the Main Airport Terminal Building between Exits 4 and 5. The bus takes 30-40 min. to reach the hotel. The bus stop where you need to disembark is the “4th station of Glyfada”. The hotel is located just next to the bus stop. The ticket costs €6 one-way (per person), with buses departing approx. every 20 minutes from Athens International Airport. Express Bus X96 operates 24 hours, departing every 20 minutes.

By taxi:

Approximately €60-80 for a one-way trip from the airport to The Oasis Hotel.

Metro, tram, and bus tickets in Athens: €2 one way.

INFORMATION FOR REPRESENTATIVE SUPPORT FUNDING

A Hybrid Assembly is an amazing opportunity to have the greatest possible representation of service bodies from across OA Region 9 and we hope this will be the best attended Assembly yet.

OA Region 9 would like to assist with funding for as many representatives as possible. When we have received all of the applications, we will make allocations as best we can. Please keep in mind that a Hybrid Assembly offers intergroups and service bodies the possibility of sending representatives virtually.

If your service body wishes to be considered for financial assistance to attend the OA Region 9 Assembly 2024 in person or virtually, please complete the form in the link below no later than Wednesday, 31st of July 2024.

To prioritize applications for financial assistance, we will triage them according to the following criteria:

1. Service Body has not previously sent a representative to OA Region 9 Assembly
2. Service Body has at least 50% of the total cost to contribute
3. Service Body would not be able to send representative if we do not assist

Important Information:

Please estimate your costs in GBP (£) and provide a detailed breakdown of your expenses.
Please refer to the Assembly and Convention information for the cost of accommodation and food.
Please consider your expenses carefully as you budget them, because the prices, especially the airline tickets can increase. Special requirements must be included in your application, but need to be justified and approved before they are purchased (for example: extra leg room, single room).
The Region will pay exactly the amounts you have budgeted. Unexpected expenses need to be presented to the board for decision.
Incomplete applications and those received after the deadline date will not be considered.
Funded applicants must complete the “actual” expense column within thirty days of attending the Region 9 Assembly and attach all receipts along with any unused funds to the Region.
It is important to vote in an alternate in case your representative is unable to go.

Notification of Representative Support Fund awards will be sent by 15th of August 2024.
An email will be sent to the representative’s email address listed on the application. As fund requests sometimes exceed fund availability, a representative waiting list will be created, if needed. It is imperative that each recipient notify Region 9 of its intention to accept the award by the date given in the award letter. If Region 9 does not have your response, the funds may be awarded to other intergroups and service boards on the waiting list.
